Thanks Konstantin. Yes I agree that option 2) seems not necessary. Regarding
transitions, do you think we should support bi-directional transition between
standby and observer? how about transition between active and observer?
Also, with this setup I'm not sure whether we need the automatic failover from
observer to active, in case standby is not available. IMHO, most cases one
active and one standby works pretty well, so as long as we guarantee there's at
least one standby it should be OK?
