The test failures are unrelated to this patch. I am still running unit tests
for this branch-2.7 patch just to make sure it is good. There's also a check
style warning I have to get rid of.
On a side note, I have an adopted version running against CDH5.x (Apache Hadoop
2.6.0 based) in internal testing and that passed unit tests.
