Thanks [~CrazyLady] for reporting this.
The one you report in your first comment is related to HADOOP-14741.
We intentionally moved all the ZK endpoint setting to core-site.xml because
different components may use the same endpoint.
That being said, after checking the documentation, this is not very clear.
I would use this JIRA to improve the documentation and hdfs-site.xml to point
to the option in core-site.xml.
bq. For namenode/datanode. If add client router configuration,
namenode/datanode would failed to start. Suggest to move client router
configuration to <core-site.xml>
Can you give more details?
We have that setup internally and is working with no issues; can you give
details on the error.
