[~ajisakaa] Attached patch 002 for review that addresses the checkstyle issue
generated by previous patch.
The javadoc error reported is due to MoreExecutors#newDirectExecutorService()
is available in newer versions of the Guava Google core libraries and thus
depending on the version, it shows up as warning.
Test failures are unrelated to the patch
