Konstantin Shvachko commented on HDFS-12026:
--------------------------------------------

Turning off building Libhdfs++ on RHEL6 is fine with me. Couple questions:
# Will it effect the runtime?
The expected scenario is that we will do native build in RHEL6, upgrade the
cluster, and it should work without errors.
# What about the respective Centos? I don't know about Ubuntu etc. My point is
that the restriction should not be RHEL6, but the version of gcc/glibc.

> Currently multiple errors and warnings prevent libhdfspp from being compiled
> with clang. It should compile cleanly using flag:
> -std=c++11
> and also warning flags:
> -Weverything -Wno-c++98-compat -Wno-missing-prototypes
> -Wno-c++98-compat-pedantic -Wno-padded -Wno-covered-switch-default
> -Wno-missing-noreturn -Wno-unknown-pragmas -Wconversion -Werror
