Thank you very much to work on this [~dineshchitlangia]. I thinks it's very
useful to provide ready-to-use dashboards.
I have some comments:
1. Admin is not required if you set GF_AUTH_ANONYMOUS_ENABLED and
GF_AUTH_ANONYMOUS_ORG_ROLE environment variables.
2. typo in the readme (missing verb) "You can basic object creation and RPC
metrics from Grafana dashboards:"
3. I am not sure if it's a good idea to add promethes + grafana to *all* the
docker-compose clusters. It requires additional resources which makes the
testing harder. What about if somebody (with limited memory) needs only a
simple ozone cluster?
Originally it was added only for the ozoneperf for exactly the same reason. To
make it easier to run a simple test which already requires at least 3-5
containers.
If you think the monitoring should be part of the normal/default install, I
propose to use the following structure:
* rename the existing compose/ozone to compose/simple (just scm + om + datanode)
* rename the existing ozoneperf to ozone and merge with ozones3 (scm + om +
datanode + s3 + prometheus + grafana). That could be the default full install.
