If that isn't an ALT. As [~elgoiri] suggested we can proceed by putting up a
comment regarding the same to justify the sleep.
Can you give a check to time in the sleep too. I verified on my part looping it
to about 50 times. The test passed with the sleep of as low as 10 ms at my
local (without the sleep, It failed about 90 percent). So we can give a check
to the wait time too. Not as low as this but whichever feels safe to you.
