CR Hota commented on HDFS-14316:
--------------------------------

[~elgoiri] Thanks for tagging me here.

In HDFS-13358, verbosity isn't suppressed, just handled the
NullPointerException in a cleaner way that is thrown by hadoop-common
(ZKDelegationTokenSecretManager). This exception stack is needed when users
have security enabled but haven't configured zookeeper correctly.

Re-looking at this ticket it seems the best way to handle is not to even
instantiate secret manager if security is turned off. I can make a change based
on your thoughts.

> Currently mount points with multiple destinations (e.g., HASH_ALL) fail
> writes when the destination subcluster is down. We need an option to allow
> writing in other subclusters when one is down.
