The patch should be initially be made on trunk branch, post that for backport,
if the same patch doesn't apply on lower branches, like on
branch-3.3,branch-3.2,branch-3.1 and branch-2.10 you would need separate
patches else not.
[~antn.kutuzov] I have added you as HDFS Contributor and assigned the Jira to
you. Let me know in case you face any issue here...
