Ayush Saxena updated HDFS-15767:
--------------------------------
Release Note: Added support for rename across namespaces for RBF through
DistCp. By default the option is turned off, needs to be explicitly turned on
by setting dfs.federation.router.federation.rename.option to DISTCP along with
the configurations required for running DistCp. In general the client timeout
should also be high enough to use this functionality to ensure that the client
doesn't timeout. (was: Added support for rename across namespaces for RBF

turned on.)

> This Jira trys to support rename of directory across namespaces using
> fedbalance framework.
> We can do the router federation rename when:
> # Both the src and dst has only one remote location.
> # The src and dst remote locations are at different namespaces.
> # The src is a directory.(Fedbalance depends on snapshot).
> # The dst doesn't exist.
> We can implement router federation rename of file in a new task so the patch
> won't be too big to review.
