Thanks [~prasad-acit] involve me here. I agree that it is useful to add
operation `append` to NNThroughputBenchmark.
Just have a quick glance [^HDFS-16067.001.patch]. It seems not implement
completely now.
A. For Append operation, we need prepare files set for it, reference to
org.apache.hadoop.hdfs.server.namenode.NNThroughputBenchmark.OpenFileStats#generateInputs
for Open operation.
B. We need to update benchmarking manual at
hadoop-common-project/hadoop-common/src/site/markdown/Benchmarking.md.
