Yeah. To prevent a poor user experience like the one above, this JIRA proposes
to do away with the browsing link when the name node cannot serve that request.
So I basically want to show the "Browse Filesystem" link on the web UI when the
name node is in the NAMENODE role.
I think it should be a fairly simple but useful change. In parallel I can look
at making changes for
[HDFS-2830|https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HDFS-2830] as part of this too.
