Thanks Aaron for clarifying the issue.
As a newbie to Hadoop, I've got a couple questions:
1. if it could happen due to wrong configuration, the client might be better
off verify the configuration the first time it gets it. If the client is not
the best candidate to verify it, which component is a better choice?
2. suppose the config is good, is it possible that the client sees the problem
later? if we are not sure, we might still need to have the check all the time.
