fuchaohong updated HDFS-17776: ------------------------------ Description: In our production environment, we noticed a consistent 10-second delay when the NameNode retrieves edit logs during startup. After investigation, the issue was traced to the /etc/resolv.conf file containing unreachable nameserver configurations. This caused DNS resolution timeouts during the process. > The validRequestors in GetJournalEditServlet do not need to be regenerated > every time. > -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: HDFS-17776 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HDFS-17776 > Project: Hadoop HDFS > Issue Type: Improvement > Reporter: fuchaohong > Priority: Major > > In our production environment, we noticed a consistent 10-second delay when > the NameNode retrieves edit logs during startup.
