+1 for the patch. I went ahead and committed this to the HDFS-4685 branch.
Since we're isolated on a feature branch, we can destabilize
{{TestOfflineEditsViewer}} and {{TestOfflineImageViewer}} briefly while we wait
for HDFS-5695 to land in trunk.
