Masatake Iwasaki updated HDFS-6007:
-----------------------------------
Attachment: HDFS-6007-1.patch
Hi [~cmccabe], thanks for your comments.
bq. I like the original sentence better here.
fixed.
bq. I'm not too excited about the giant table of configuration. It seems to
duplicate what we have in hdfs-defaults.xml. We already have the problem of the
configuration keys being duplicated between DFSConfigKeys.java and
hdfs-defaults.xml; adding a third duplicated area seems suboptimal.
I simplified the table.
I agree that we should avoid dupclication. In addition to duplication, it is
confusing that some values defined in {{hdfs-default.xml}} are not actually
used. This is the problem should be solved but beyond the scope of this issue.
bq. Additionally, most users will never have to configure anything related to
HDFS-5810.
Actually the patch is based on HDFS-4538 and HDFS-4953. I fixed the description.
