The rebased patch looks good to me.
Now we have made more changes to BackupNode related code to make it compile
with changes caused by HA upgrade support, rolling upgrade support, and
HDFS-3405. I guess no tests have been done to make sure BackupNode still works.
Maybe it's now a good time for us to remove BackupNode from trunk and deprecate
it in branch-2.
