Dear Radiance Users,
Thanks to the substantial efforts of Daniel Fuller and Mostapha Sadeghipour
Roudsari, we now have a fresh, web-based interface for Radiance discussions
open at:
discourse.radiance-online.org
This mailing list along with the other categories at radiance-online will
migrate to our new Discourse server with its added functionality. If you are
signed up on any of these lists (which you probably are if you are reading
this) a new account has already been set up for you under the same e-mail
address. You may choose to receive real-time post notifications or
daily/weekly digests by activating your account and following the instructions
at:
discourse.radiance-online.org/t/welcome-to-the-radiance-forum
We will maintain the old search interface for a time, but we are asking that
new posts be made via Discourse. The main benefits to the new interface (as
explained to me by Mostapha) are listed below.
It's a modern application which means we can:
Tag other users on the forum.
Select the correct answer
Upload photos and share files.
Link other topics/replies on the forum
It's much easier to follow a single topic in Discourse than following an email
thread on mailing list.
It's searchable so no more struggle for finding old topics.
It's flexible! one can choose to follow categories, tags, etc.
Finally if one doesn't need any of the items above s/he can still use it like a
mailing list by receiving emails and replying to emails after creating and
account and activating mailing list mode.
We will keep the old lists open for a week or so, to ease the transition and
allow for discussion. All of the previous posts and topics have been ported
over already, and we invite you to check out the new search features this
interface offers.
