I picked the the Explorer 8000HD box from Time Warner Cable today on 23rd
St. in New York. I have having several problems:

1) The digital audio outputs do not work. I tried both the coaxial digital
output,
and the optical. Both result in silence.

2) The only video output that produces a signal is the component video
output. The S-Video and the old-style "cable wire" produce nothing.

Why do I want to use the S-video cable you might be wondering. I have a
video projector (HD) and a plain old TV (SD) and I want to run the S-video
cable to my TV, while running the component cables to my projector. This
way I can use either display with the same box. I did this with my previous
box without a problem.

I spoke to a tech support guy at Time Warner Cable and he suggested that
the s-video and "cable out" outputs might have been deactived, but he wasn't
sure.

3. The DVI output doesn't work.

Thanks in advance for reading my post, and for any suggesting you may
have!

Ben
