Although needs vary of course - chest xray vs CT vs MRI, etc. There are other viewers, too. For example, OHIF Viewer https://github.com/OHIF/Viewers is built on the same DICOM js library as the webviewer plugin. There is easy integration as well (https://github.com/OHIF/Viewers/wiki/Orthanc-with-DIMSE). Keeping the options open seems reasonable. Good to see lots of open source software in the DICOM space.
