I am looking at this item from the perspective a manuscript, since I am
recataloging our manuscript of version A. Hary provides Hebrew and Judeo-Arabic
transcriptions of “version A,” and a Hebrew transcription of “version B.” He
begins each transcription with a title from a manuscript source, two Hebrew
forms and one Judeo-Arabic.

Hi Jay,

Before I try to respond to your question I will need to take a look at the
book. I will retrieve it from the shelves later today.

It does appear that are two other editions that have been published

1914 - מגלת פורים אל מצריין or מגלת פורים מצרים

ULI records catalog this with language notes "mostly in Judeo-Arabic; and also
Hebrew and Judeo-Arabic.

1997 - ספר מגלת פורים מצרים - contains Hebrew and Arabic [Judeo-Arabic?]
versions

I can't locate any copies of these in the U.S..

Best, Heidi

LC established the above title according to a judeo arabic reading. However, B.
Hary himself acknowledges that it is a translation of the Hebrew. Shouldn’t the
title be set up in Hebrew, with refs from Judeo-Arabic?
