Dear colleagues, The Non-Latin Script Materials Affinity Group<https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/LD4P2/Non-Latin+Script+Materials+Affinity+Group> of the Linked Data for Production-2 project invites you to participate in an online survey on romanization in library catalogs. Library catalogs include romanization to support the use of resources in non-Latin scripts. As library systems become more powerful in handling native scripts, and with the move to linked data, there is a desire to re-evaluate the current practice regarding romanization. Before any decisions can be made, libraries need to consider the impact on patrons, library staff, and systems used to manage those resources. This survey will be used to help make recommendations on the use of romanization in library catalogs within a linked data environment.
