Hi

I installed the Hebrew version of open office 1.1 for windows on my Toshiba laptop which has got window XP home on it. the intallation was successful. I set the languages as follows:
hebrew in the first box
none is the western box (there was no hebrew there to select)
hebrew in the control box

but when i type i get only english letters even if i choose from the font list
for example: Miriam mono which is a hebrew font

is this version not suitable for my windows xp which is english australian?

thanks

Hi Jon.

You need to set up your Windows XP installation for Hebrew. I don't remember offhead (I don't have Windows here), but you should look in the regional setting, for something like "enable bidi support" and then add Hebrew to the keyboard layout list.

Then, when you switch to Hebrew in your keyboard, you should be able to right in Hebrew in Open Office.
