Hi Gil, Thanks for writing. TkOS will produce a free license version of Hebrew OpenOffice using the Culmus fonts and without a JRE in the comming month and provide ISO images for download from OpenOffice.org.il. You can make as many copyies of this version of OOo with your own label and do whatever you want with them.
The current version of Hebrew OpenOffice that we have on OpenOffice.org.il contains a JRE from Sun and fonts from Masterfont that you are *not* free to copy.
Does this apply to the download from www.openoffice.org.il or only to the CD's distributed by Sun?
We will also be producing two other products; an English version of OOo with Culmus fonts and integrated hspell, and a kit for using hspell with any version of OOo.
There is one caveat with the latter product - the kit for using hspell with any version of OOo - which is that recognition of Hebrew acronyms ("rashei teivot") that use quote (") and letters accented with single quotes (') does not work in current version of OOo. Alan Yaniger fixed this problem (Hebrew word break iterator) last week and will contribute the code back to OpenOffice.org in the next week. We expect that this fix will be in the OOo 2.0 code soon. Regards,
- yba

Hi,
I want to make a CD that I can give to people with OpenOffice (both the Hebrew and English versions), and maybe through in some more goodies (Mozilla, Lyx, Cygwin and Miktex for Win32, for example).
My questions: 1. Are the copyright right issues if I use my company name as the distributer on the CD? What would be the proper information I should include on the disk and / or the autorun notice? 2. I did not understand the instruction on www.openoffice.org on the recommended directory structure and the relation to the openoffice.org directory structure. Does anyone have any pointers?
Thanks
