I also tried the Glufa document using Mozilla and OOo1.1.1 under Windows.
I opened the documents in IE 6 / Office 2K to compare the results.
I used a broadband connection, so downloading the documents was fairly quick.
In each case the two files opened and produced readable results.
In the case of the Glufa document, opening directly under OOo1.1.1 / Linux, the process stalled. I then tried to open it using Mozilla, and it opened okay. My Mozilla 1.6 in Linux uses OOo1.1.0 for handling Word documents (anyone know how to change this?), but I didn't see much difference between this and the OOo1.1.1 version under Windows.
The main differences between Word and OOo seemed to be in interpreting the multi-level numbering system used in the document (sometimes the indentation was too great) and an error in the alignment of the photo that appears near the beginning of the Glufa document. There may be other differences on a careful reading, but even in Word, the document looks a mess.
