Prospective GSoC students, the deadline for your GSoC application is slowly approaching as you have some 8 days left. If you want to propose a project for HelenOS, you should do so rather sooner than later to avoid any last-minute surprises. You know, your Internet connection can go down unexpectedly, the Google infrastructure may have an outage or you will not get any feedback from us on your proposal because there will simply be no time left for that. Of course, if you submit your student proposal early, you will still be able to update it at any later time until the student application deadline on April 6.
I am sure that most students are already familiar with the DOs and DON'Ts of Google Summer of Code as published by Google[0], so I am just posting the link here for the sake of completeness. I'd also like to bring your attention to the GSoC Student Guide[1], which, among other useful advice, contains two detailed project proposals. We will be going through the already submitted proposals and, in cases where it will be needed, we will ask for clarifications and may provide early feedback. Looking forward to all the proposals and good luck!
