Hello folks,
the GSoC student application period is now over. I would like to thank
all the students for submitting their applications, for sending their
patches to our mailing list and discussing their proposals.
We will spend the following 12 days evaluating your proposals, both via
personal ranking and via discussions among the mentors. We also plan to
devote the next HelenOS meeting (on Saturday April 14th) to these
discussions.
To be honest, we expect that we will have to make some hard decisions as
the number of outstanding proposals is probably going to be larger than
the number of student slots we will be granted by Google. Rest assured
that we will do our best to select the right proposals.
Please stay around, follow the mailing list and watch your mailboxes as
we might still contact you to clarify some points in your proposals. We
will also review all the patches sent to the mailing list and integrate
as much code as possible into our mainline branch -- we appreciate your
contribution and we do not intent to toss it away.
