Attendees: MC - Miroslav Cimerman MD - Martin Děcký VH - Vojtěch Horký JS - Jiří Svoboda Round table ----------- MC: - update on his software RAID thesis - finished write support in degraded state - getting ready to implement scrub - planning to defend in summer 2025 MD: - made some additions to microkernel.info website (new OSes) - coordinating HelenOS talk on FOSDEM 2025 VH: - currently supervisor for a couple of student projects/theses - Sofware RAID - packet capture (defence in summer 2025?) - less active projects: - port of Rust to HelenOS - Btrfs port to HelenOS (- NFS server for HelenOS) - also reported on some MSIM projects - emulation of some kind of network interface - add graphics emulation (not sure if still active - MSIM/RISC-V discussion - MSIM now emulates 32-bit RISC-V - HelenOS has unfinished support for 64-bit RISC-V / Spike emulator JS: - Combine successive move/abs. move events in display server - Minimize /app/init, once root is mounted, go to /srv/system - Allow remcons/vt100 to set terminal title - Shutdown - system protocol library, server - shutdown, shutdown-dlg - OK/Cancel in message dialog
