Somewhat of an offtopic question, but I ask this because I'm trying to
create a debian package for distributing out a cfengine upgrade from
2.1.13 to 2.1.19p1.
What i do is download the source debian package from debian archive and
replace the tar.gz
or use the debian directory to build a new debian package. So i do not
have to invent the wheel
again ;-)
There are some issues with 2.1.19p1 that have been addressed in the
latest svn version.
I've backported at least some of these changes to 2.1.19p1 and built a
debian package for sarge.
I'd be happy to send this package out to people who wanted it, however
remember that its intended for local use here at my workplace and that I
can't guarantee it at all!
Its based originally on the source package for 2.1.18 in debian
'testing' and I merely 'introduced' the cfengine source for 2.1.19p1
into this source tree; it works for me. Your milage may vary. The
maintainer scripts do seem to have a little problem restarting cfengine
after an apt-get upgrade though...
Please contact me off-list if you want a copy. I'll put together a
source package for the brave souls who want to test it and see if they
can fix the annoying maintainer script bug :)
