AIX suffers the most because of the core dump. Cf-monitord leaks large amounts of data on all UNIX's that I have tested including AIX, Linux and Solaris. While I agree that we can control this with regular restarts I don't think it should be trivialized with such a work around. One does not assume that a service will leak and that restarts will be needed when first using Cfengine. Customers are finding out the hard way.
