Just to keep the list up to date on this subject, Eystein from Cfengine
AS has been working hard on the memory leak issue (see
https://cfengine.com/bugtracker/view.php?id=427 for details).

My tests consistently showed heavy memory leakage in 3.1.2 on Linux with
a specific set of promises, and trunk with his latest fixes (which has
just become Cfengine 3.1.3) shows no leakage at all (at least over the
past 24 hours), as well as a tiny memory footprint (2-3 MB per daemon).

I'm most happy and reassured to see how efficiently this was corrected :)
