I've read "man 2 chown" and understand -1 means the owner and group will be
unchanged, thank you.

The -678 for the timeout is still a mystery.

I see the following in cf3.defs.h

/*************************************************************************/
/* Fundamental (meta) types                                              */
/*************************************************************************/

#define CF_NODOUBLE -123.45
#define CF_NOINT    -678L

Is that related?? What does it mean, please?

Thanks,
Aleksey
