Hi, for a variety of reasons the packages install directly in /var/cfengine, including libs, so the copying goes the opposite way than you might expect. Basically, everything is self-contained in /var/cfengine so that dependent libs are unique and stable during other upgrades of the system. Thanks for the kind words.
