Forum: CFEngine Help Subject: Re: cannot use cfengine3 mode in Emacs 23 Author: bmarsh Link to topic: https://cfengine.com/forum/read.php?3,23897,24103#msg-24103
I just signed up for the cfengine discussion list. Using the interface at cfengine.com I don't see the attachments, but I pulled an attachment from a Nov 26 post via another method and I'm running this under emacs 23.3 on Win32. When I try to compile the .el into a .elc I get: Compiling file c:/emacs-23.3/lisp/progmodes/cfengine.el at Tue Nov 29 15:00:02 2011 Entering directory `c:/emacs-23.3/lisp/progmodes/' In cfengine-common-settings: cfengine.el:413:8:Warning: `"\\(\\(?:\\\\\\)+\\)\""' is a malformed function cfengine.el:413:8:Warning: `"\\(\\(?:\\\\\\)+\\)\""' is a malformed function cfengine.el:419:11:Warning: assignment to free variable `syntax-propertize-function' Otherwise, it seems to be working, although I need to work on the entries in the .emacs file to get things to work automatically. Also, where is the best place to pull the latest .el file?
