Hi Nick, I decided not to configure interfaces with cfengine. First I noticed that it is hard to do, second in most cases it is needed to done only once in a bootstrap process, third to classify hosts one need use either hostnames or IP addresses and I decided to use IP addresses and so I can't change them on fly. In conclusion I configure them in bootstrap and do manual configuration later on. However I can imagine situation where this might make sense and I would start with simple command promises.
