Hey CFEngineers, I need some help from the community.
I'm the program chair for the 2012 Usenix LISA conference. I'm looking for sysadmins who have interesting ideas to share with the community. keep reading... I see the traffic on this list and I know you're out doing new, fun, interesting, challenging things with cfengine in the wild. Talk about your successes; show your peers what you have done. Especially for people who think "isn't it too hard to do config mangement," you can show them why it's an important step in their evolution. Never heard of LISA!? http://www.usenix.org/events/lisa12/cfp This is _the_ system administration conference to attend. Ask Mark, he was program chair previously and has been active in the LISA community for years. I will be surprised if some of you don't email me offline with some interesting ideas for either a research paper or a story about something you've done/implemented. Notice you have two options. You can either write about something new and exciting that falls into the research track or you can _tell_ me a story about your implementation. The latter requires much less writing, if that is a deterrent. The program committee is available to mentor potential authors and help make the writing a little easier. You are not alone, so don't let a little writing scare you away.
