I hope the API will be generic--thus it's important to make sure that all the retrieval functions and boolean test functions will make sense in that wider YAML+JSON context as well (and other data languages). So at least the function names should change? Hmm. Because this is very rough code, just a proof of concept, I don't think I can yet request that it be included in the CFEngine core. It needs at least some polish in testing and documentation, and there are edge cases that it doesn't handle yet. But I will keep my branch up to date and keep improving it.
