OK, I have got cfservd running with -d2 --no-fork:

I thought this would be easier, with two near enough identical hosts (identical bits and architecture, anyway). Doesn't seem to be the case.

The outfit I am trying to get this working for is starting to think cfengine is not as good as I have been telling them. I realize it's my own fatfingeredness that's slowing things up, but I'm starting to wonder if I'll be able to get it working and keep it working.

How basic a config/suite of *.conf files can I put in place to get a proof of concept?
