Hi Falc,

Thanks for the bug report.

I've just installed the most recent version of emacs+emacsw32 (Emacs-22-CvsP070116-EmacsW32-1.34.exe), but there's something going wrong when I want to customize it.

When I go to Options -> Customize EmacsW32 and click on "Set all to w32 style!", the following warning messages appear:

Warning (w32shell): When using 'cmd' program 'patch' can't be found
Warning (emacsw32): Can not save to file because custome-file is nil

How did you start Emacs? I am a bit surprised that custom-file is nil.

Oh, and for some odd reason this also maximizes my window...

That is part of what I have called "w32 style". Maybe not very obvious, but I have not had time to think about it again ... ;-)

After looking at the 1.14 patch notes on the site, I think the problem comes from the fact that I simply do not have a patch.exe in my C:\Program Files\Emacs\EmacsW32\gnuwin32\bin folder. Perhaps a simple packaging error?

Yepp, you are right. It seems to have disappeared from my source directory. I think I know the reason now. I have used the installer from gnuwin32 and it has an option to uninstall the same program that is installed if it find that in another location on the pc.

I will fix this and upload again as soon as I can.
