What operations do you use?
On the <apps> key I have bs-show. The left and right window keys I use
as super and hyper modifiers, respectively.
The <apps> key will work as usual. (Though I have a proposal for the use
of it.)
Super and hyper will with my patch work even for the combinations that
w32 normally catches.
Do you have both the left and right windows keys on your keyboard?
At work, yes. On my laptop I have only the left one. I use super-
modifiers for the additional bindings I use the most.
