Here's what I got with the latest unpatched upload. Debugger entered--Lisp error: (error "Cannot return from the debugger in an error") signal(error ("Lisp nesting exceeds `max-lisp-eval-depth'")) byte-code(" [EMAIL PROTECTED]" " [err signal] 3) ange-ftp-hook-function(substitute-in-file-name "/[EMAIL PROTECTED]:temp/a.lis") substitute-in-file-name("/[EMAIL PROTECTED]:temp/a.lis") read-file-name("Find file: " nil "C:\\bin\\Emacs23_20080515\\emacs\\bin/" nil) find-file-read-args("Find file: " nil) byte-code("
FWIW - I am also having trouble when I try to load the file without first hitting TAB to complete the filename. Emacs creates a buffer and says "Use M-x make-directory RET RET to create the directory and its parents" If I hit the TAB key though it seems to work OK. - Nelson >-----Original Message----- >From: Lennart Borgman (gmail) [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] >Sent: Thursday, May 15, 2008 2:58 PM >To: Michael Albinus >Cc: Ingersoll, Nelson; help-emacs-windows@gnu.org >Subject: Re: [h-e-w] Re: EmacsW32: Emacsw32_080512 + TRAMP + >max-lisp-eval-depth error > >And perhaps also first download the latest unpatched version which I >just uploaded. > > >Michael Albinus wrote: >> "Ingersoll, Nelson" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> writes: >> >>> Hi, >> >> Hi, >> >>> Opening FTP connection to XXXX.com...done >>> Logging in as user [EMAIL PROTECTED] >>> Getting PWD...done >>> Doing CD...done >>> Listing /[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/home/ingersol/temp/...done >>> byte-code: Lisp nesting exceeds `max-lisp-eval-depth' >> >> Could you, please, eval (setq debug-on-error t) before you >run the test? >> Then we might see a backtrace, which could help. >> >>> Regards, >>> >>> - Nelson >> >> Best regards, Michael. >> >> >> >
