Thanks for maintaining the GNU Emacs FAQ for MS Windows. It's helped me run Emacs on Windows. When upgrading to GNU Emacs 23.2, I had to make the following changes to make file associations work and I think it would be useful to document them in the FAQ so that other people don't have to figure them out for themselves: * Change the ALTERNATE_EDITOR environment variable to point to the new version. * Run regedit and remove My Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Applications\emacsclientw.exe.
