During the pretest period for 23.2 only bug fixes for regressions where allowed into the release branch. Other fixes went into the trunk. There are also some very new things in the trunk, like the code for bidi. (This is not ready yet.) New code for window handling has also been on its way for a long time and the changes so far is in the trunk. If you want more information check out the sources and read the Changelog files in the lisp and src folders. (You can read those from the web interface too.)
