Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug. If you can, give
a recipe starting from `emacs -Q':
I'm running in an environment with a very slow network connection to a
subversion server. When I open any file under version control, emacs is
checking its status twice in a row, judging by *Messages*
Running svn status -v o_helpers.pm in foreground...
Running svn status -v o_helpers.pm...OK = 0
Running svn status -v o_helpers.pm in foreground...
Running svn status -v o_helpers.pm...OK = 0
Can you check to see if vc really is repeating the status command, and
if so, make it stop? And I'll see what else I can do to speed up the net
here!
