He already did. The results were: (nil 1 "dpkatz" "Domain Users" (20227 15644) (20227 15645) (20227 15644) 22914 "-rw-rw-rw-" nil (29184 1 . 38188) (57524 . 40871)) which gives no clue (unless I'm blind). On Windows, the permissions of the file are mostly determined by the parent directory permissions, not by the original file's permissions.
