Hi,
it seems that the total number of extracted and stored features in the
inverted file is too large in this case (seekg(-2147483632)).
I have worked with databases of around 100'000 images and it worked
perfectly fine.
I have no quick fix for this at the moment.
Cheers, Henning

Hi all,
I installed GIFT without any errors and it worked fine with a small
image collection.
I have indexed 169,685 images with GIFT and it took nearly two weeks to
complete it. I think this is the first ever attempt to index GIFT with a
large collection :) My problem is that, the indexing process did
complete, but there was no *.ADI file generated and the inverted files:
- InvertedFileFeatureDescription.db
- InvertedFile.db
- InvertedFileOffset.db
did not contain anything. Below is the last part of the indexing
messages, and it seems that there was some failure:

My questions:
1) Is the failure caused by the collection size? - I assume no.
2) How can I resolve this problem.
Please shed some light. I really need your advice.
Thank you,
Dayang
