All, I've been wracking my head over a network flow model issue, googled all around, and still can't determine if I can model something successfully.
I have a simple three-node network to be evaluated over 365 days: one source, one sink, and one node which serves as a reservoir. The source can serve the sink or the reservoir. The source and the reservoir can serve the sink. The flow from the source to the sink, directly, is insufficient at peak times, so the reservoir serves as the additional supply. The variable costs to move along the arcs are fixed. Alone, this is a trivial model, however, the commodity flowing has a time-varying value and therefore the cost of the supply in the reservoir can change daily. Additionally, I'd like to determine the optimal sizes of the three arcs and the reservoir since the larger they are, the more expensive they are. Has anyone seen an example or a reference that could help me get this modelled properly? Thanks, Ted _______________________________________________ Help-glpk mailing list [email protected] http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/help-glpk
