Continuing this problem, emacs 21.3 seems to have an issue with keyboard macros with flyspell on.
When I define a macro to add alpha characters, it seems to type one character every 3 seconds. It has no problem with numerics, or when flyspell is off. This problem occurs with 21.3, but not 20.7, on PPC/AIX and Intel/Linux.
