I tried, unsuccesfully, to install lilypond 1.2.0 on my Debian system.
First I tried to use the RPM package which I converted to Debian
using alien.
Lily complains that libreadline.so.3 is not avalilable.

Second I downloaded the sources and all te prerequisite packages
and tried to compile. The install instructions should mention that
both the guile and libguile4-dev packages are necessary otherwise
configure will not be able to find guile-config which is in the
libguile4-dev package.
Compilation was succesful but the link stage failed, ld complains for some
undefined references:
gh_int2scm, gh_scm2int, gh_eval_str.
Seems something is wrong with libguile
I have the following libguile packages installed:

libguile4 1.3.15 (libguile.s0.4)
libguile4-dev 1.3.15

Do you have any suggestion?
Thank you for your help.
