I got 1.0.17 built, and was trying to build lilypond 1.2.6 and got to
the point where BLURB.hh was built. But then make complained that it
could not find a rule to build COPERTINA.hh (I hope I spelled it right).

Is there some way to get more info out of make without the megabytes of
messages that the -d flag gives? I would like to just see what the final
makefile looks like with all of the symbols substituted and all the
included makefiles processed.

I will probably have to continue my lilypond learning process with
version 1.0.17 because I don't think I can upgrade to egcs 1.1.2. I
currently use 1.0.x, and 1.1.2 does not produce binary compatible files.
So the compiled executable may not be compatable with my libraries.
However, I am still researching this issue on another mail-list. I will
be able to upgrade to gcc-2.95 when the MkLinux R1 CD becomes available
in a month or so (I hope).
